It's a pain to turbo anything that's not meant to have it.

I looked into this when I owned a mk2 CRX! You will need:

Suitable turbo (something small like a TD04 or TF35)
Mappable ECU to cope with increased fuelling, changing ignition timings and obviously to control boost.
Bigger injectors, bigger capacity fuel pump, etc to increase fuelling
Intercooler (and making room for it, moving radiators, etc)
Thicker head gasket to reduce compression ratio (not always needed, but it may blow on the first run!!!)

Then things like bigger/better brakes, then a case of whether the gearbox, diffs and clutch hold up!!

Personally I would buy a Starlet turbo or a Daihatsu Charade GTti for a small car with a turbo!!

Forgot to mention, you'll also need a custom manifold with turbo mountings, as well as a custom downpipe from the exhaust end of the turbo into your centre section (assuming you are keeping the current exhaust system), or else it will be a full custom made exhaust and manifold.

Impreza engine won't fit! (I have that on good authority!!)

You don't need a scoop if you have a FMIC!!!

You might need an oil cooler as well!

Wehey JUSTY!!!!!

is your justy carbed or the EFi? the carbed one is easier to do but both could be costly to do if your not resourceful (you have a justy so must be pretty used to it by now!)
im no expert, but its apparantly very easy to work with this engine.
if you want to keep 3d mapping costs down have a look into making your own. check out Megasquirt megajolt ignition kits on the web.

also, have a look on www.subarujusty.proboards20.com

theres guys on here that have done it

The reason I say it can't be done, is that two guys I know (one of which is running a 600bhp Impreza) have looked into this.

But that was the engine, gearbox, diffs, clutch, etc, as they wanted to use one of their 300bhp engines in it!!

They are not shy about hacking cars to bits to get it to fit, but they decided it was too much work!! :o

Then again, people were telling me 4 years ago a UK engine would not cope with 300bhp, let alone 350bhp, but now everyone does it!!

Good luck to him!!
