best place to get front crank oil seal changed
Hi,
Does anyone know where I can get my oil seal changed for less than £100! I phoned the local dealer and they said it would cost £280!! (..although that did include a new cam belt - thing is, the car had a new cam belt 6 months before I bought it according to the service history so it doesn't need one) I had a go myself, but I need that crankshaft pulley wrench with the 4 prongs to get the pulley off. Thanks, Chris |

Thanks guys, that's exactly what I was looking for!
I'll try Tuning Japanese next week, as Aldershot is closest to me (I'm near Haslemere). Chris |

Dont go to RIVETT autos, i took my Legacy there a couple of years back & it got broken into along with a load of others & had all the stereo nicked!!! The guy didnt even phone to tell me, the only way i found out was from a mate whos car was there to. he never fixed the car properly & never payed out or gave his insurance details so i was stuck with no tunes & a car that was the same as it went in there!!! I even got arrested for taking my own car back as he wanted me to pay him before he would do anything about my stereo?? I wasn't having the wool pulled over my eyes like that.. Anyway all i was going to say was give Tuning Japanese a bell, speak to Ike or Scott. Tim is the owner they are a great bunch down there.

Let me know what price they quote you at Tuning Japanese, I've found them very expensive in the past but also need my cambelt and oil seal doing soon so would be interested to know what figure they come up with.
cheers...Jon. |

Might not always be the cheapest, but what springs to mind is that you only get what you pay for |
