Question Project 555, options please

Simon,
What options do I have, mapping wise, for the 555? I believe its a 96 STi.
Aiming for mid 300's.
Thanks.

Evening!
Right from the depths of my grey matter on a 555 which is the v2 sti you will need to get to mid 300s
1. Walbro pump
2. Fmic
3. Induction kit (fmic wont allow airbox)
4. boost controller or an ecu with new map sensor such as simtek or solaris.
5. Z32 maf sensor or a map based ecu like simtek or solaris.
6. 550cc injectors
7. Ecu - apexi pfc but also needs boost controller or boost control kit and z32 maf and apexi has stopped making the ecu so hard to get. Simtek works well and has own map sensor for boost control and no maf change needed, has two maps and option of als etc.
Solaris overkill unless big future plans.

I actually have an apexi and a z32 maf in stock.
Typed on mobile so may have missed something off the list, will check on pc later
Simon

standard turbo is a td05 16g and will flow to early to mid 300s with supporting mods..

because it is a top entry turbo it is a pain to change turbo and get a good inlet pipe on there.. as most turbos are front entry

not sure I understand the 4 , 5, and 7?

if you wqent Simtek then you don't need the maf or the boost controller.. but if you went Apexi then you do

Think I will go down the walbro, 550, FMIC, TD05 16/18/20g and simtek route.
Will also be going full decat, but unsure of backbox at the momentas I dont want silly loud, and it MUST pass the track sound tests.

reason I run a Revolution.. it is 3inch and passes the track noise regs..

something like 95db, it seems to slowly be getting louder.. I t5hink it was 95db at goodwood in 2007, 97db in 2008 and at Brands it was 96db.. somethingl ike that anyway.

you can mess about with adapting tmic from later models but price of fmic is so cheap it isn't really worth while, just go fmic.

Simon

Thats the route I'll take then just means the i/c spray switch is redundant
I like the H&S backbox on my Wagon, but Im not sure whether they come in 3" or only 2.5"

No need to make the switch redundant, i'm moving the jets to the front bumper to spray over the FMIC
