WRX Bugeye after a year

Here goes.

bare with me as this is my first project thread and some pictures are missing.

brought the car july 2007.
looking like this

absolutely loved her. quick and felt like she was on rail.
car when i got her had:
hks exhaust
decat downpipe
pro drive springs
remaped link ecu
thats it apart from cosmetics above

was told when i brought her that she was in the 300bhp club. I joined surreyscoobies and quickly learned that my turbo wouldnt cope with 300bhp.
rolling road day was planned so i thought i'd pop along and meet some people.

got her on the rollers and she produced 255bhp and 270TQ.

well i think i can improve on that i thought.

High flow panel filter was next step then i removed the snorkel, front drivers fog and resonator.
I then ran a tube from the airbox to a funnel which now replaces the foglight.
noise from this was very satisfying

Found myself the prodrive upper grille who i got off the gimp on here so she went on.

Few weeks later I found an Sti8 top mount and was told this was another good mod so i smashed that on. i then modified my wrx undertray to fit the new bigger sti i/c(cheers Chris )
no pics of this but it was a god snug fit and i'll happily help anyone out with this as it saves you £50

Then up pipe had to be decatted, scoobysports seemed to be a good price and the previous owner got the down pipe from there so thought i'd stick with same people.

Bring Bring.........Hello. Is that Simon aka Jolly green monster? yes.........Lets get to work on my car

remap by Simon saw my boost increased and mid range vastly improved. Happy days i thought.

now this may have been the start of a beautifull relationship between me and carbon but my next mod was a carbon dash gauge holder with oil px,temp and air/fuel ratio.

then got the lower part of the prodrive grille along with the ht autos lower splitter so on they went. Along with ported headers i got done for me(cheers 2-pump)

next came as a bit of a shock for myself. VF35 and sti pink injectors came up on scoobynet. 300bhp club in my sights so i couldnt resist. brought them.

never fitted the injectors before so i put it into wincanton motorsport.
Brakes are always a good idea so some tastey black diamond discs put on all round with green stuff pads. red stuff was what i wanted but crossed comunications ended up meaning i had these instead. half price pads for mistake made up for it
while the injectors were being fitted i arranged with simon to map the car and fit the apexi avcr i had just got on ebay  no worries the reply.
He got worried when i kept refering to the mapping session as taking my cars 300 virginity.

while waiting i proceeded to changing the turbo and fuel pump(uprated walbro). easy job if you know what your doing. I didnt. help required from a mate.

Mapping day arrives
1 bar..........1.2 bar. ........1.3 bar 1.4bar........... she now moves like nothing ive ever driven. im happy with this and wont want to do anymore i thought

Now comes the pornografic section so lock the children up

I discovered carbon parts, more than you could shake a stick at.

firstly came the spoiler. exchanged my sti 6 copy for it, plus some cash. the wonderfull thing about this is that they thought my spoiler was original subaru part and gave me £200 for it. when they took it off it was a copy......... £70. perfect as deal done already

Car wasnt looking how i wanted her to.....stealth i thought. change in wheel colour needed.
from these

to these

centre caps couldnt be sprayed due to corrosion in future so i went for a set of these to go with the balck silver theme
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBARU-Wheel-C...d=p3286.c0.m14

These wheels transformed my car

I needed an exhaust capable of letting Australia know i was on my way to work. Blitz Nur Spec R was my weapon of choice.

now those who have heard the blitz understand why i went for it.
Added some flames and it now scares young children

The lower lip spoiler was looking tired so i sprayed that gloss black(cheers Dan) to match headlights

now its looking how i want it........its missing something though. argh yes more carbon

then arrived from the states

this wasnt my favourite mod and im thinking of removing but i cant afford the real replacement parts. £700

Then the bit i'd been searching for came up for sale. had a right result with it. so couldnt say no

perfect and carbon need satisfied. then i brought the b pillar bit in carbon. same as these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWN:IT&ih=023

another rolling road day came up and i was feeling that with work done i should be seeing 320bhp and 300TQ especially as i has octaine booster mapped into it aswell.

results were 312/290 and as most of you know i wasnt happy.
over fuelling top end was to blame and a tweak needed. this is down to me as i changed the exhaust after the remap.
was booked in with simon but then i had a thought.......more power i think is needed as im going to want more soon.

So here we are today.
I'm currently drooling over my new TD05 18g. front mount is getting powder coated and gets picked up tomorrow. dark charcoal with metalic flake in it for a bit of bling. wont be obvious so only those in the know will see it.
I have a mate who has fitted **** loads of front mounts and he is going to help me next tuesday and if time remains will help fit the turbo too

perrin 25mm rear sway bar, drop links and stout mounts waiting to go on to. all i need is front sway bar and drop links and the transformation will be complete

sorry not many photos but dont take many during jobs. will try during installing front mount.

next is to try and get it mapped and have boot lid sprayed before devon car show.

cheers

Update from yday

got my front mount back with pipework.

colour i was going to go for was going to cost £140 before the work. So went for a stock colour he had.

done a top job and would recomend

went for something that blends in with the carbon and bumper. hopefully when on it will look spot on. has a light metal fleck to it to
