Whistling!

Hi guys,

Been a while since i posted here or been out and about, finally took the wraps off my scoob after being under a car cover for nearly 2 years.

Feel kinda bad for leaving my car like this but work just took hold and trying to find somewhere to live became the priorities.

Anyway, had the car looked over and apparently it's still in general good use, bit of corrosion around the brakes where the car has been sitting still for so long. So the car still obviously has the same problem it had before it went under the cover.

When the car is coming on boost i get a high pitch squealing, kinda like pinching a balloon and letting the air out. This sounds like a boost leak however does anyway know of a way to try identify where without having to buy all new bits, i guess it could be induction filter (although wouldn't this still make a noise off boost) or perhaps somewhere in the (intercooler) or the dump value or the turbo it's self................all quite pricey to replace if there is actually nothing wrong them.

Or perhaps it's something else

Cheers guys

GSUS

Spary everything with brake cleaner starting from the first boost pipe from the turbo then work your away along the system till you reach the manifold then do that and if the engine changes it idle speed you have found the air leak.
